The Promised Messiah.

Messiah Ben-Josef and Ben-David

In Jewish theology the Messiah is "someone of leadership", someone that like David would lead and guide the people to peace and green pastures. For many generations this has been the idea and the belief of the Jews. When Jesus came, died and raised again, people of many nations, race and languages believed that He is the Promised Messiah, the son of David and Son of Josef. Just as He was called in the Holy Scriptures; in fact in the New Testament Jesus is refered to has "the One written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets, Yeshua son of Josef.

While walking in the Land of Israel and talking with the Jews, Jesus-Joshua-Yeshua never talked about Himself has the Messiah, but the people kept calling him "Son of David"; it was the jews of that time that recognized Him as the Son of Josef. His direct followers, and the people He meet were the one that called Him, son of David.

With Messiah the Spirit of God Almighty comes down to earth, and it's clear that the people recognized Him as Messiah, by the Spirit of the Almighty God; the Prophet Joel promised to the Jews the Spirit of God to the jewish people, in the days of Messiah. And by this Spirit the people could call Jesus both: the "son of Josef" and the "son of David".

None of the man that have started a new religion in the all world, and there are many, have ever mention this secret about Messiah, known only to the jews, except the Christians; and this should ring a bell. Not even the false messiah of Islam, the so called Magdi,  have ever claimed to have any connections to Judaism or Israel. Only the Messiah Jesus known to the 4 Billions of Christians of the all world. Why is that? And why only the Christians have come to know about the Messiah of Israel? And how did they know that there was ever a "son of Josef" and a "son of David", 2 Messiah's if they had no connections and no knowledge of Judaism and jewish theology? The answer it's easy; it's in the New Testament, the second part of the Bible!

The real Messiah therefore must come claiming some connections to the State of Israel,  David the King of Israel, the Kingdom of Israel, the people of Israel, the jewish people, the 12 Tribes of Israel and finally the Jewish religion.

The true Messiah must be a Jew, son of David and son of Josef, two jewish great leaders of Israel, that have also saved  the jewish people in two different era of their history. The Messiah must be a man of Leadership.

The New Testament is therefore the only claimed Holy Book and Holy Scriptures that clearly writes about this Great Jewish Leader; no other book has ever mentioned Israel or the jews, and as a matter of fact the muslims for example, try to avoid any connection of the jews to Israel.

The New Testament instead does not make any mystery of Israel and does not make any mystery about the Messiah; it proclaims a jew from Israel to be the Messiah! This is not something that we can take for granted at all; after all everyone try now days to disconnect the Land of Israel from Jewish sovereignty.

Messiah son of Josef

The New Testament speaks of the Messiah only in two very important occasions; the first most important in the Gospel of John: The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).  And he brought him to Jesus. John 1,41

Here the Messiah was recognized as the The Anointed One, the Messiah, an important title but not all the titles of the Messiah to come. Some other Torah scholars and Jewish followers however, were deeper in their discovery:

We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the Prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the "son of Joseph". John 1,44

Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”Gospel of John 1,44. Not only they recognized Him to be the Messiah but they themself were waiting for the Messiah son of Josef; they did not recognized him as the "son of David", because Moses spoke only of the Messiah to be the "son of Josef ".

It's clear therefore that the Jewish Scriptures and the Law of Moses, the Torah, spoke only about the "son of Josef". And clearly the New Testament tell us that, not all the Torah scholars did understand the many titles of the Messiah.

The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, “Follow me.” Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida.  Philip found Nathanael and told him,
“We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the Prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the "son of Joseph". John 1,44

First of all Jesus was called only "The Messiah", but later on, He was called the ONE awaited, the ONE spoken by, and finally Him, the "son of Joseph"; a title that only a Jew could have known. And this changes everything! Nobody in the all world have never, ever mentioned the Messiah with this title in any book written by man! Only in the Christians Gospels. So we must therefore say that, it's not a pure coincidence.

The Promised Messiah
The awaited One
The One spoken by Moses and the Prophets
The son of Josef
The son of David
The Big Shepherd

All those are the titles given to the same ONE person only known to the Jews, awaited by the jews, and awaited in Israel, the offspring of David. And not only that, cities of Israel are mentioned, places almost forgotten for nearly 2000 years.

The Messiah was recognized by the people on His way throughout Israel, as the "son of David":  As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.  When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Gospel of Luke 18,38

The Gospel of Mattew also mention people calling Jesus "son of David": As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” Gospel of Matthew 9,27

And the Gospel of Mark does the same; there are many times and situations where Jesus is called the "son of David: And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Mark 10,47

When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said.“Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”Mattew 8,1

In this Bible quote even Moses in mentioned and the High Priest is called to be witness of the Messiah actions in favor of the people of Israel. We have found the One spoken by Moses and  the Prophets, the "Messiah son of Josef", this is what one of Jesus followers told his friends; how could the Christians, non-jews could have ever known something so Jewish?

The New Testament is the only Holy Scriptures where is listed the Genealogy of the Messiah, and the list is made only by jewish people that lived in the Kingdom of Israel. The Christian Holy Book is the only one that mention all the Jews that have made the History of Israel. It cannot be just by casualty. In the New Testament the Messiah is named as the "son of David".

The Messiah Ben David

Also "David son of Jesse" is mentioned as the most important link and lineage, the Messiah must have to be recognized as The Promised Messiah. Again, there is no other book, Holy or not holy, that is willing to mention not only the Messiah, but even one of the jewish names in His Genealogy: nobody in the past and even less today, wants to write in any book that a Jew could ever be the "Leader of the World", the "King of a Kingdom of Israel".

But the Bible does, and this is what it says about the Messiah. Witch the  exception of a jewish rabbi, who could ever know so well the genealogy of the Messiah? Not even a jew todays knows that well the lineage of the Messiah, but the Bible does. How this could be?

The Genealogy  however is very clear, and lists the most important jewish people in jewish History, and tells clearly he is the "son of David and why. And to know the genealogy of the Messiah its absolutely vital!

This is the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the "son of David":

     the son of Abraham:
Abraham was the father of Isaac,
Isaac the father of Jacob,
Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,
Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar,
Perez the father of Hezron,
Hezron the father of Ram,
 Ram the father of Amminadab,
Amminadab the father of Nahshon,
Nahshon the father of Salmon,
Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab,
Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth,
Obed the father of Jesse,
and Jesse the father of King David.
David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife,
 Solomon the father of Rehoboam,
Rehoboam the father of Abijah,
Abijah the father of Asa,
 Asa the father of Jehoshaphat,
Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram,
Jehoram the father of Uzziah,
 Uzziah the father of Jotham,
Jotham the father of Ahaz,
Ahaz the father of Hezekiah,
 Hezekiah the father of Manasseh,
Manasseh the father of Amon,
Amon the father of Josiah,
and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon.
   After the exile to Babylon:
Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel,
Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel,
 Zerubbabel the father of Abihud,
Abihud the father of Eliakim,
Eliakim the father of Azor,
14 Azor the father of Zadok,
Zadok the father of Akim,
Akim the father of Elihud,
 Elihud the father of Eleazar,
Eleazar the father of Matthan,
Matthan the father of Jacob,
and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah. Gospel of Matthew 1,1

We must ask ourself how a genealogy about the Messiah, could be so accurate and how foreigners people, that have never been to Israel and never practiced Judaism, could have such an accurate information, about the Divine Promise of the Jewish Messiah.

Why do the Christians know so much about a Jewish theological issue? Even some Jews, full of wonder, ask themselfs if this could possibly be someone very special:

Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.  All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?” Matthew 12,22

But not only some did ask if by the way, he could be the "son of David", but even a woman from Tyre and Sidon, called Him Lord and "Son of David"; how could a Lebanese woman call a Jew "son of David"? She was clearly told that only her faith in Him would heal her daughter, but to call Him "son of David", a Jewish title, it's something else.

How could she possibly know what it means to be the son of David? She did not study the Scriptures, so how she knew what the son of David could do? A Lebanese woman?  Too many coincidences are mentioned in the Christian Bible about the "Son of David", that the Christians do not even know the deep meaning of it.

This is something known only to a high level study of Judaism, that only tzaddiqim know after many and many years of Torah study. How happend that all suddently those ignorant of Torah have such a deep knowledge of God and this kind of Divine secrets? And how it's possible that now millions of Christian have so many informations about Judaism?

Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.  A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David", have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”

He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."
The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.

He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.

“Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.

Looking at the Scriptures and the Bible, it's now evident that only the Spirit of Messiah could have taken with Him some Divine Informations that have made even the ignorant of the Scriptures, known deep Divine secrets that once were known only, to Torah scholars and scribes.

Yes, the gentile Nations, starting from Lebanon to Syria and Jordan have come to know the Messiah, and the jews are now aware that the Good News of Divine Peace, has reached all the border Nations around Israel, making Israel the center of Divine Revelation in the all Middle East region.

While the man in power were struggling with politics, planning to divide and take parts of the land of Israel, enjoying their wealth and their power, the jewish people meet Messiah.
