The menorah is the symbol of the modern State od Israel; it rappresents the very heart of the Jewish people and the soul of the Nation. The menorah is the symbol of the Temple of Jerusalem, that was the Spiritual Light of the Capital of Israel, and according to the Holy Scriptures, the Light of the Nations!
The fact that the Jewish people all over the world, lights a menorah still in our days, it's a sign of the Light of God, returning back in the very first place, where it was at the beginning.
For a Christian, the menorah rappresent the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit of God, and the Light of God Himself, in his life. The beliver is the "New temple of God", and as the menorah was standing in the Temple of Jerusalem, in the same way today, the 7 branches with the 7 lights, a sign of the 7 Spiritual gifts of God given to man, its present in the life of every Christian believer. We Christians are called to be a menorah that gives light to the world around us. In the Book of Revelation, Jesus of Nazareth is seen walking around 7 golden menorah's, and tells John, the meaning of this vision; the 7 menorah's are the 7 churches of Jesus.
This vision in the Book of Revelation shows the importance of the Jewish roots of Christianity!
